Finally got around to editing another installment of our Europe trip. This is Barcelona! What a lovely place. Although this is the only place where we had someone try to steal from us. I managed to stop the thieves by yelling, ‘HEY.’ The rest of our time there was pleasant and enjoyable though!

New podcasts are coming soon to Junior Pigeon as well!

When Laura and I were in Florence, I wanted us to have the best Florentine steak we could find. I did some Googling and decided we’d try Trattoria Sostanza. In my Googling, I read a review that mentioned that their chicken was incredible, as well. The restaurant does two seatings per night, at 7 pm and 9 pm. We made reservations for 7 and found the place, which is rather small and plain. The seating is communal, so we sat with a family of five.

Laura and I ordered the Florentine steak and their petti di pollo al burro to share between us, along with some pasta as our first course.

The Florentine steak was enormous and very good, but the chicken… oh, the chicken. So delicious. So incredibly delicious. So buttery and tasty and amazing. We loved it so much, we made reservations for supper the following night as well. And we didn’t bother with the steak again. Chicken all the way.

Rob Lowe knows what’s up. LITERALLY the best chicken.

We’ve wanted to recreate it at home for the longest time and we recently made the above attempt!

The fully detailed recipe is HERE.

Tibidabo in Barcelona

This might be our final video update before the trip’s end! Maybe!

Here’s a snippet from our time in Barcelona:

Venice

I’m realizing I won’t be able to edit much more video before coming home, so here’s an out of sequence update from Venice!

We almost missed the wedding, but thank goodness we didn’t!

And now we’re in Venice!

The MacKenzie / Ravina Memorial Kettle

We found ourselves with a kettle we couldn’t bring any further in our journey. And so we did what we do best: put our names on the kitchen appliance and leave it somewhere.

Also in this video: knife stealing!

This video concludes the UK portion of our journey. We’d like to thank the UK for being awesome and English-speaking, and we’d like to thank Mark and Anna for showing us a great time in Glasgow! They fed us IRN BRU and a deep-fried Mars bar. I can’t remember if I mentioned that before.

The Glasgow Caper + The Edinburgh Jaunt

Here’s the next installment of our European travels! This video follows The Vatersay Adventure!

I’m being very productive with the video editing of late!

The Ordeal

This is out of order with our past videos, because this is from very recently in our trip! In Paris. But the ending of the Vatersay Adventure, and the Glasgow Caper are coming, as well as video from Spain and France!

For now, here is a video where we explain an ordeal we went through!

The Vatersay Adventure

Another episode from our European travels is here! The Vatersay Adventure!

Menacing Squirrels and Majestic Giraffes

Junior Pigeon in London! The video is here! In two parts. Check it out and let us know what you think. Editing on the iPhone isn’t quite as easy as it is on computer, but hopefully it turned out OK! We’re in Spain now, and these videos are courtesy of our in-room WiFi which has been sorely lacking in the hostels that came before!

I’ve had no chance to fully edit a video, but here is a little bite from the Portobello Rd. Market!

The MacKenzie / Ravina Memorial Toaster

Why did we have a toaster engraved? This question (and others you’ve not asked) will be answered in the below video. Shot on June 7 and 13, 2010.

Our post-toast wrap-up.

Immovable Object VS. Unstoppable Force - Rock Paper Scissors Edition

Laura and I have discovered that we are on equal footing when it comes to Rock Paper Scissors. I can’t beat her and she can’t beat me. We will be locked in eternal conflict like love and strife.
